We are seeking an assistant farmer for a year-round long-term position.

Duties: mostly vegetable garden work involving planting, weeding, harvesting, tending the greenhouse, working with work-share CSA members, and interacting with the public. Other duties could include animal chores (feeding, watering, moving fence, etc.), making deliveries, helping with maple syrup, manning market stands, and general upkeep of the farm.

Qualifications: The farm assistant must be healthy and able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather. The candidate should have significant experience working in a market garden, preferably an organic garden, and have a current driver’s license. Experience working with people, working with animals, and using farm machinery would be a plus. Familiarity with no-till methods would also be a plus. Hourly pay would be based on experience and qualifications.
