We have a herd of Toggenburg and Alpine goats with access to pasture. We feed them organic grain. The meat is fairly similar to beef but leaner.
Goat meat prices per pound: loin chops, $15; rib chops, $13; leg, $12; ground meat, $12; stew meat, $13; shanks, $8; soup bones, $4; liver, kidney, heart, or tongue, $4.50; tallow, $3.
